Sixth Annual DC Startup Week and Conference Returns at Hybrid Event for 2021

The DMV’s Premier Entrepreneurship Event to Feature Live and Virtual Programming

October 18-22

WASHINGTON D.C., August 17, 2020 -- After 18 months of virtual isolation, DC Startup Week has taken its first steps toward a relative return-to-normal, announcing today that their Sixth Annual week-long program will take place October 18-22.

This year’s conference is crafted as a hybrid experience, integrating both virtual (free) and in-person (VIP paid) pass options.  The virtual conference will be available at no cost to attendees anywhere in the world.  The two days of in-person VIP activities, each covered by a registration fee, will take place at a central location in downtown Washington, DC.  The first live event, a multi-faceted afternoon and evening function designed for early-stage founders, will take place on Tuesday, October 19 while the second event, designed for growth-stage companies, is slated for Thursday, October 21. Each VIP day will feature a lunch, content sessions, networking opportunities, a pitch competition, a happy hour and a few surprises.  Registration for all DC Startup Week activities is now open at www.dcstartupweek.org.

“After the last year-and-a-half, where so many startups and emerging companies were in  survival mode, we firmly believe that now is the time for growth, partnerships, new ideas, pivots, overcoming challenges, and building teams,” said DC Startup Week Event Organizer Rachel Koretsky.  “With that purpose in mind, we are adopting a theme of ‘It’s Your Time’ for DC Startup Week 2021 as  now is the Time to grow, scale, hire and thrive.”

Designed to bring together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, visionaries and change-makers for five full days of stimulating programming, DC Startup week is the city’s most dynamic forum for building relationships, networking, exchanging ideas, stimulating growth and essentially celebrating the DMV’s 10,000 strong entrepreneurial community.  The conference will feature more than 200 speakers spread across over 100 events with five distinct content tracks focusing on Early- and Growth-Stage Startups, Service-Based Organizations, Social Impact and Culture.
