THE DMV'S LARGEST EVENT FOR ENTREPRENEURS AND STARTUPS
DC Startup Week 2021
OCTOBER 18 - 22, 2021
OCTOBER 18 - 22, 2021
After the last year and a half we’ve collectively experienced, we believe that now is the time for growth, partnerships, new ideas, pivots, overcoming challenges, and building teams. Before #DCSW21 begins, we challenge you to declare what it’s time for you to accomplish in your business. You can then leverage the week’s content, resources, and connections to help make your declaration happen.
Early-Stage Founder Track
If you are a local entrepreneur planning to start a business or have recently started one, the founder track will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to turn your idea into a reality. This track will focus on early-stage strategies from marketing, branding, sales, mindset, market validation, founder stories, and more. This track will also have an early-stage pitch competition and its own Happy Hour during the VIP in-person (ticketed) event on October 19, 2021.
Growth Stage Track
This track is for growth-oriented founders, entrepreneurs, and their teams. You will learn advanced strategies in branding, marketing, business model alignment, funding, exit planning, digital marketing, inbound and outbound sales, customer experience, and more from experts and successful local founders themselves. This track will also have a growth-stage pitch competition and its own Happy Hour during the VIP in-person (ticketed) event on October 21, 2021.
Service-Based Track
This track is focused on entrepreneurs, consultants, and freelancers who run service-based companies looking for strategies to scale their expertise, build brand awareness, close sales, leverage smart marketing, leverage automation, create sales funnels, and more.
Social Impact Track
Are you an aspiring or current social entrepreneur tackling society's biggest challenges? Well, this track is designed just for you! Unlike other businesses, you are dealing with a double bottom-line. How do you build a sustainable business model? How do you bring social good to the core of your product? What is the best way to tell your story? How are you measuring and scaling your impact? And what funding opportunities are available to you? This track will provide you the opportunity to network with like-minded founders and help you build strategies, best practices, and resources to grow, scale, and evaluate your company. You are on a mission to provide a disruptive solution. Now is your time to make that impact!
Track Chair: Hadeel Al-Tashi
Culture Track
Our world has changed dramatically, and so have we and our teams. For c-suite execs, people leaders, and workplace champions, this year's Culture track is designed to help you adapt and elevate your culture, build highly engaged, high-performing teams, and understand and develop your people. Together, we will shape the future of our work through expert dialogue, thought-provoking debate and plentiful Q&A opportunities.
Track Chair: Amira El-Gawley
